How established is GOLOUDON as a business?

We have been in business in Dallas Texas since 2006. Prior to this, our business was based in London UK since the late 1990’s. GOLOUDON is a member of the most recognized and trusted national building and remodeling organization in the United States, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Gregory Loudon, GOLOUDON’s founder and principal, is a board member of the NAHB’s local chapter here in Dallas, the Dallas Builders Association (DBA) and currently acts as chairman of its Remodeler’s Council. He is fully certified as a Graduate Remodeler (CGR), Green Professional (CGP) and Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS).

How is GOLOUDON set up as an organization?

We operate as general contractor and as sub contractor based on the size, scope and involvement in remodel/build projects. We function as a team of skilled craftsmen and work closely with a select group of professional sub contractors and vendors in the various trades, from designers and architects to materials suppliers with whom we have established relationships, to effectively serve our clients’ needs.

Is GOLOUDON insured to protect its clients against any damage to property and materials during the provision of its services?

Yes. We are fully insured in the unlikely event of any damage and would be happy to provide proof of coverage, upon request. To date we have never been required to make any insurance claims, maintaining a 100% track record.

How does GOLOUDON approach the client relationship?

From the initial, free consultation establishing our clients’ requirements, through to completion of the project, we make a point of creating an open, effective two-way communication process. This sets us up for the smooth running and successful completion of projects. We listen closely, establish realistic guidelines and ensure client expectations are aligned with achievable goals. Scheduling is a key component of this and, using the latest communication and software tools at our disposal, we ensure our clients are kept fully up to speed with the progress of their project.

What can clients expect as far as a written proposal and a contractual agreement?

GOLOUDON always provides a fully itemized written estimate of costs associated with the work to be performed. This is typically transmitted by electronic mail or can be delivered by hand. Upon approval, a formal written contractual agreement is presented for joint signature by the client and GOLOUDON, setting out in detail the scope of work, the costs involved, the payment schedule and a timetable from start to completion of the project. There is also provision for any change orders, which requires written approval from the client for the additional costs involved, prior to those changes taking effect. Most commonly, GOLOUDON operates under a FIXED PRICE CONTRACT, meaning all costs associated with a project are to be paid for the performance of the agreed-upon contract work. We, the contractor, assume the risk of performing all the work for that amount. This is set out clearly in the contract.

How much of your business is referral or repeat business?

The vast majority of our work is generated through clients who refer us to their friends and contacts. Repeat business is a natural byproduct of this and we appreciate the confidence and trust our clients have in us. We take pride in our ability to provide excellent customer service and to build solid, long lasting relationships. Our success is measured entirely on our ability to achieve and maintain consistency in our standards, as our clients would expect from us. References are available upon request.
